Braakland ('Fallow land') is an open festival with an emphasis on the dialogue between artists and the public. In addition to exhibitions of both national and international talent, we program a range of activities and encourage photographers to show their creations in the museum.
We divide the exhibition hall into three parts, each of which is filled with short-term and long-term projects at its own pace. With challenging exhibitions, artist talks, debates, one-night events, portfolio viewings, screenings and dozens of collaborations,
Braakland celebrates the diversity of photography. In addition to planned exhibitions and projects, a large part of the program remains fallow. That is why FOMU is launching a 'museum take-over' and is calling on everyone with a heart for photography: bring your project to the museum!
