Secondary education: Active Tour LABO analogue photography and image awarenes

  • Fee activity € 136
  • Maximum amount of participants 15
  • Duration 2h
  • Location FOMU

During this LABO you will learn the basic principles of analogue photography in the dark room. The photos by Dirk Braeckman and the FOMU collection form the starting point for telling a story with images that you create, develop and edit yourself.

Is a photo always a reflection of reality? Where is the line between fact and fiction? How can you tell a story through photography and how (consciously) do you influence the gaze of the viewer?

Artist Dirk Braeckman enters into a dialogue with the FOMU collection and creates a new, mysterious world with a photographic image. His photos and the collection pieces form the starting point for a fascinating workshop on image awareness and the power of photography.

This exhibition also includes the Kaiser Panorama (1905), a masterpiece from the FOMU collection that will be shown to the public again after a thorough restoration.
