On the first Saturday of August, it’s Museum Night, and all Antwerp museums open their doors from 7 PM until 1 AM. There’s plenty to experience at FOMU too!
Enjoy a festive program filled with activities, performances, exhibitions, and tasty treats. Join a guided tour, catch a live performance, take part in a screen printing workshop, get a temporary tattoo inspired by artworks, or step into the photobooth. The exhibitions, museum shop, and FOMU café will be open all evening.
This program is created especially for Museum Night and is only available once.

Printed Heritage: Screen Printing Workshop
8 PM – 10 PM on the first floor
Want to upgrade an old T-shirt or sweater? Look no further — Mojo Prints is bringing a pop-up screen printing studio to FOMU during Museum Night. Between 8 PM and 10 PM, you’ll have the chance to create your own design inspired by the FOMU collection. You’ll find the pop-up screen printing studio on the first floor.
Bring your own clothing item to print on. If you don’t bring one, you can print on a tote bag. There are three designs to choose from, inspired by the exhibition No Longer Not Yet – Katja Mater & the FOMU Collection.

Live Performance by LOÏS
At 9:30 PM & 10:30 PM in the exhibition These Branching Moments
LOÏS, the band led by frontwoman Loïs Andrews, invites you into a live music performance set within the exhibition These Branching Moments. Let yourself be swept away by playful Dutch-language pop music as you explore the exhibition. You’ll find These Branching Moments on the second floor.

Heritage on Your Skin: FOMU Tattoo Station

Always wanted a tattoo? Get a unique temporary tattoo inspired by the exhibition No Longer Not Yet – Katja Mater & the FOMU Collection. The tattoos were specially designed by former Nightwatch curator Céline Lafrikh. The FOMU tattoo station is open all evening and can be found on the second floor, next to the entrance of the exhibition.

Love being drawn into a fascinating story? Join one of our “Art Dates” — a short 20-minute guided tour in the exhibition No Longer Not Yet – Katja Mater & the FOMU Collection. Together with a FOMU guide, you'll explore a single artwork in depth.
You can join one of the “Art Dates” in the exhibition No Longer Not Yet – Katja Mater & the FOMU Collection. The FOMU guide will be waiting for you in the foyer near the stairs to the exhibitions.

Read & Relax in de Slow Zone

The Slow Zone is a place where museum visitors can pause, slow down, and unwind. FOMU invited creative duo Fouzia&Brecht to take over this space. Driven by a need for vibrant places of encounter, they bring new life to institutional spaces and programming.
During Museum Night, you can browse a curated selection of photobooks related to the exhibitions. Pick up a book, flip through the pages, and enjoy a quiet moment.

Share your Story: Message Wall

Share Your Story at the entrance of FOMU on the Message Wall. Answer questions inspired by the exhibition These Branching Moments.
Write your responses on the wall, then visit the exhibition. Has your perspective shifted? Come back afterwards and feel free to update your answers.

Photobooth: Party Pics

Everyone takes photos — every day. But what if you could truly feel like a model for a moment? Step into our party zone in the FOMU Foyer and let the music set the mood. A professional photographer will snap Party Pics of you and your friends. We’ll send your Party Pic to you afterwards — a keepsake from this special night!

Drinks & Food: Tacos and a Special Drinks Menu
FOMU Terrace & Café
SoCal Taco’s is known for its delicious Mexican street food. During Museum Night, you’ll find their food truck at the entrance of FOMU from 7 PM to 11 PM. Perfect for satisfying your hunger — big or small — and enjoying a tasty midnight snack!
The FOMU Café is a staple during any museum visit. On Museum Night, take a break on the beautiful terrace overlooking the newly renovated Zuidpark. Recharge and get ready to dive back into the night. A special drinks menu will be available just for the occasion.

Practical Info
- Purchase your tickets in advance online (available from June 26) or at the Visitor Center in Het Steen.
- One ticket gives you access to all participating museums during Museum Night. There is a limited number of tickets available this year — don’t miss out, get yours ahead of time!
- Do you have an A-card with a preferential rate? Then you can attend Museum Night for free, but you still need to reserve your ticket online via the ticket shop.
- If tickets aren’t sold out, you can still buy one on the day itself (20 EUR) via the webshop or at the Visitor Center (until August 3, 6 PM).
Please note: You cannot purchase tickets at the museum entrances. - With your Museum Night wristband, you can revisit any participating museum for free once during the month of August. You don’t need to keep the wristband on — even if it’s been cut off, it remains valid.
- Your Museum Night ticket also lets you claim a free Velo day pass, making it easy to travel between museums.
