Artist tour Ugo Woatzi in Families exhibition

During this artist tour, artist Ugo Woatzi takes you behind the scenes of his work The Age of Love, presented in the Kaiserpanorama as part of the exhibition Families. Discover up close how the work came to be and how Ugo explores the theme of chosen family. Together with Ugo, you will look at the Kaiserpanorama, the images and the ways in which we can experience family and connection from a different perspective.

The exhibition Families explores what family means today. Historical photo albums meet contemporary art. Together, they show that family is not always fixed. Sometimes you choose each other. Sometimes care, memory or language brings people together. Look closely. Think along. And experience the exhibition Families from a different perspective.

Bio Ugo Woatzi

Ugo Woatzi (he/they) is a Brussels-based artist working across photography, moving image, text, and installation. Drawing on memory, landscape, and queer thought, their practice investigates the construction of imaginaries through poetic and speculative gestures. Experimenting with fluid forms of presentation, their work explores alternative forms of kinship, belonging, and world-making.
