Dirk De Wachter
For the video series ‘De keuze van’, seven inspirational people choose their favourite image from the FOMU collection. Dirk De Wachter chooses an image by Belgian photographer Herman Selleslags.
On the picture you see the actor Julien Schoenaerts. "This is a picture of a great actor, who even on the street is still acting. Julien was photographed between rehearsals, while still in character", says Dirk De Wachter.
"The photograph appeals to me because it shows how normality and insanity, psychological vulnerability and artistic talent, are bound up together. How there is no difference between normal and non-normal.”
